Human emotion comes from the interplay between people, our environment, and emotion itself. What interests me about human emotion is the ambivalence of reactions, influences and self-reflected interaction. In creating my work, I attempt to express the ambiguity of emotion through the relationships of space, form, surface, color, body gesture, and gaze, but with subtle facial expressions that are ambiguous and open to interpretation.
