Maria Eife

I create jewelry by combining new technologies with traditional craft skills and values. My forms are inspired by structure in both the natural and built worlds. I am also driven by the exploration of the processes and materials I use in the creation of form. I build virtual objects with CAD software that are materialized using 3D printing technologies, and the variables in each step inform the final piece. The objects may be cast in precious metals, dyed and/or combined with other materials to create elegant, playful and complex adornments that compliment the wearer and engage the viewer.
