There’s a space between the know unknown- a liminality we live in and share with longing with dreams, and the hope of finding meaning and connection with the beings around us. My work plucks at tensions between direct gesture and refined beauty, between the raw animality of our nature, and the perfection we hope for in our dreams and stories, and spiritualities. Pop culture is a descendent of timeless notions and archetypal themes that have endured the ages, filtered through the lens of new technologies and myriad cultural encounters. I’m curious about tracing the threads of what is shared and finding out how curiosity and play can shape the larger phenomena of our lives and societies.
