Ellen Pine Litwin
The primary focus of my work is the functional pot form primarily on the wheel. The plastic quality of clay, that freezes a moment in time, has led me to use forms that are often altered after throwing. This creates variations in surface that invites interaction between the the glaze and pot when .fired.
I choose to work with functional pots, enjoying a connection with lives of people who use them. Generally, my work is designed for its tactile qualities, as well as the visual.
