The ceramic objects I create indulge in thoughts of myth and fantasy. Throwing clay on the wheel is how most functional forms begin. With the importance of imagery and color of the finished piece, there is a priority for simple intimate forms that bring clarity to complex surface decoration of pattern and image. A thick buttery glaze covers the dark clay and separates the painted surface from the form.
