My work is inspired by nature. During the early stages of the Covid pandemic I took daily nature walks on a trail by my home. Sunlight/clouds, time of day, critters (or not) made each walk on the same path a new experience. That Covid sensibility – that every day was the same, every day was different—is reflected in my recent series of “covid-scapes.” These small sculptures of plants, butterflies, mushrooms, share the same sensibility, while each is unique.
