Living in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley, I am surrounded by lakes, streams and of course, the Hudson River. My ceramic stones remind me of the river rocks that rest along the water’s edge. Made from various clay bodies, left unglazed, and with the addition of ceramic beads inside the hollow body, they are meant not only to appeal to the eye but also, your sense of sound and touch. Inspired by Ishi Musubi, the Japanese art of rock wrapping, each piece is bound without knots or glue. They should be gently handled and can be used for centering the mind and meditation.
