Jennifer D. Martin is the current Executive Director at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia Jennifer has held numerous residencies and instructor positions and served as faculty at the George State University School of Art and Design from 2001 to 2005. She uses organic work and soda firings to reveal the silky, sensual nature of her wheel-thrown and altered work. Using these ancient firing techniques, her work celebrates tradition without being inhibited by the vast history of ceramics.
