Glaze Workshop with Ruth Easterbrook

Join Ruth Easterbrook for an in-person, hands on glaze workshop! During this 2-day workshop we will gain an understanding of what glaze is, how to troubleshoot some classic problems that arise, and a wide range of possibilities to bring our glazing to the next level. Ruth will demonstrate multiple techniques to achieve a more interesting glazed surface using wax, tape, washes, and underglazes. Get excited for a glazing deep dive that is sure to expand your understanding!

Although these techniques will work at any temperature and with a wide variety of glazes, Ruth will be demonstrating with The Clay Studio's cone 6 glazes. Bring 4-5 already bisque fired pieces to try out Ruth's glazing techniques on your own work! Please make sure your work is bisqued and can go to cone 6 if you would like us to fire it. Glaze firings provided with the workshop will be fired in a cone 6 electric firing.

This two day workshop will take place on Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th from 10am-4pm with an hour lunch break from 12-1pm.
