This two day, hands on workshop focuses on how to approach the human form as a work of art in ceramic sculpture. Engaging in the process of disassembly, Jinsik shares his method of collage-creation to create 3D sculptural forms out of preliminary 2D drawings and composite sketches. Considering a subject's exterior facts and interior mysteries, you will explore using symbols to tell stories. Learning handbuilding/slab-building skills while engaging in lectures and discussions, we will think about how the photographic image can change the possibilities for making 3D sculptures through transformation methods considering craft and emotional effects.
