In this seminar-style course, you'll be guided through some of the essential ways that you can deepen your relationship with your own work. Together, we explore how each student's particular practice relates to a broader context of historical and contemporary ceramics. A variety of resources will be introduced, ranging from artist interviews, videos and exhibition catalogs, to gallery websites and museum collections. This discussion-based course is intended for students who have an ongoing studio practice. Due to the highly individualized nature of this seminar, class enrollment is limited to 8 students.
